Hotel Hunting: Le Parker Palm Springs

It seems like it was half a year ago when Brian and I went on vacation (reality: it was just over a month) and I am already yearning to travel again.  Since I stay at a hotel the majority of my week,  I have accumulated a few points / rewards, one of which is a few nights in one of SPG's resorts.  The catch? It expires December 20th.  As the year winds down, I realize it is highly unlikely that we will be able to take advantage of this reward for a number of reasons (money, time to be the main ones).  But, a girl can still dream, right?

A Wedding Shower!

One of our friends, Michelle, (well two actually, her and Jordan) are getting married in a few weeks and some ladies from church had the opportunity to throw her a bridal shower and bless her.  It was so fun planning with them, and it came out really lovely.  God has some really awesome things coming their way and we're so excited for them!

Paper Love

I'm currently smitten over the stationery at Rifle Paper Co. Based out of Florida, this husband / wife team create beautiful hand-painted illustrations that are printed onto cards / other items.  So whimsical and pretty!  Love the gold accents, too.  I'm eyeing a notepad and maybe some thank you cards :-)

Want to know what I have been praying for lately?  JOY.  I want to find joy (and peace and contentment) in my current place in life.  As of this moment, I think I am where I'm supposed to be, but it may not be exactly where I'd like to be.  Does that make sense?  So, amidst it all, I am praying for joy.  God gave me a nugget of it yesterday, and it was awesome. I think we could all use some spark of joy this week, so I'll pray the same for all of you :-)
