It's Giving Time!

Hi lovely friends.  Today is a special day on this little blog because I am doing my first giveaway.  It may also be my birthday :-).  I wanted to take a moment (or a few days) to give back to you guys.  This blog is not all about me, it is also about you.  I want to celebrate you and bless you in a tangible way.  If you don't win the giveaway at least accept my gratitude for keeping up with me during a crazy time in my life.

So here are the deats. Everything I'm giving away should be a fun accessory or pick-me-up to add to your summer wardrobe - I've been slowly and carefully curating this mini collection and each of the items are things I love. I will be giving away the following to one randomly selected person who comments below:
* Nice is Nice Essie Nail polish
* A set of carefully selected bracelets
* 1 Bow hairpin from Jcrew
* 1 Pelican hairpin from H&M
* 1 silver catchall tray (thrifted)
* Earrings from Francescas
* 1 green Moleskine (small, but perfect for jottin' summer notes)
* $10 gift card to Starbucks

(Everything I'm giving away is brand new [except for the silver dish] so no worrying!).

Here's how to enter for a chance to win (each option gives you additional opportunities):
- Comment below sharing 1 thing that gives you joy today (the weather outside, your morning coffee, anything)
- Add this little blog to your reader or begin following and comment below telling me you did so
- Give something away to someone else, big or small and tell me about it below in a comment (hey I'll even count hugs and kisses)

In your comments please provide enough details that I will be able to decipher one person from the other.  So either your first name and last initial, or your email addy.  [If you are having trouble commenting, select the name/url option and just type your name.. it should work... if you are realllly having trouble, you can comment on my facebook].

Entries will be closed and I will be randomly selecting a winner at midnight on Friday July 1st, mailing out the gift soon after.

(A random thought that I probably don't have to say but will - the giveaway is limited to the United States [unless you're some awesome friend on summer project or stint or something and I can send it somewhere local for now])

(Another random thought: if you are a guy reading this blog, maybe you have a lady friend in your life who would appreciate?)

  1. Sam, I love reading your blogs! It has been so long since we have seen each other and your blogs help me play catch up! You were always such a sweet, kind and beautiful girl. You have really grown up into a beautiful, professional and good hearted woman. Wow, this got totally mushy, huh? Anyways, congrats on all that is good for you right now, and here's to the best of everything for your future!

Love, Natalie (Jazzy and Ziggy's mom)

  4. My joy today comes from realizing how truly blessed I am. This week was our traditional family vacation. My family (immediate and extended) all staying in one big beach house right on the ocean, and making tons of memories. It doesn't get more beautiful than that.

  5. Hey Sam,

I am loving your blog :) One thing that gives me joy is spending time with my family (we're leaving tomorrow to go visit my parents so I'm particularly sentimental today). I'm now officially following you...publicly. Today I"m going to be giving tons of hugs, tickles and Popsicles to my adorable niece and nephews :)

    Happy Birthday!!

  6. Sam, I've loved your blog! It's so fun to "get to know you better" through it since LTSP. This giveaway is amazing, and I have to say that seeing those bracelets, essie nail polish (my favorite), and that bow hairpin gave me a little joy this morning. Another thing today that brings me joy is that my husband just called me to ask if I wanted to go on a date tonight. Like he has to ask!

One thing that brought me joy today was remember how close our birthdays are... although I don't want to turn 25 tomorrow.

  8. Hey Lady! You're so awesome for doing a give away!

Something that brought me joy today was getting to paint my home-to-be with Jordan. I'm excited to be married and start our life together there :) Another thing is seeing people's heart and willingness to help when I'm going through a hard time.

    Happy Birthday too!!!

  11. so many things made me happy today... Sundays are always fantastic... waking up to Riley nudging my hand w/ her nose instead of my alarm clock, biting into a fresh peach from the farm market, laughing with an old friend on the phone, jogging in be-a-u-tiful NC where I somehow ended up, listening to a podcast of a sermon in my kitchen while I made zucchini carrot & nut bars & eggplant parmesan, and lastly, reading your blog! Somewhere along the way in God's master plan he made you my friend and I am so glad that he did - you are truly one of his great masterpieces :) Your blog is refreshing and I always leave it with a new fresh perspective.

    Miss you

  12. Yay! Your first give away! I have been enjoying your blog Sam. Hope you are doing well. Being an auntie to my sweet baby nephew makes me so so so happy. Every time I see him, I have to stop and thank the Lord for giving our family such a little bundle of a blessing. I also gave something away today...I sent my adorable baby nephew a darling white and red gingham button up shirt for fourth of July!

Hope your doing well! Much love,

    sal

  13. Hey Sam!

What a GREAT idea!! I love reading your blog... I found this gorgeous painting of horses in an art gallery in Boulder, CO, a couple days ago and it reminded me of an interior design post you had on horses awhile back, haha.

Something that brought me joy this past weekend was signing on an apartment in Colorado with Matt, and realizing just how blessed I am to be starting this new season...along the same lines as Michelle :) Sorry I missed your birthday, I hope you had a FANTASTIC time!!

  14. After a late night a joy in the morning is finding out my wonderful husband had already made the coffee :)

I have been following this blog since I love it and the one writing it- but now I am public about it.

I gave a 1/2 gallon of Hartzler's chocolate milk to a co-worker and fresh eggs from our chickens to the lovely Julie who wanted to make cookies for Matt's birthday today!

  15. Hi Sam
I started reading your blog after you posted a beautiful photo next to it on facebook. I was immediately intrigued and love everything you share. I follow.
Today my daughter gave me joy (well, everyday) but each little new thing she does reminds me how fresh and exciting it must be to be her. My ongoing gift to her is her baby book that I write in everyday.
