I'm starting this blog for many reasons. For transparency, for a fun thing to do, for my husband who keeps driving me crazy to start a blog ;), for an opportunity to share some of my views in life, and I think most of all for a creative outlet that I can use as I pour out images, words, and stories that inspire me (and hopefully others).
I don't know exactly what it is that I will share on this blog. How much I'll share. But, let's have a go at this, and see where we are a few weeks/months/years down the road.
Here are some of the current things that inspire me right now:
Beautiful Interiors

Fabulous Hotels - The Connaught in London

Family and Friends - This is my awesome hubby and our pup Charlie. He's (Charlie) so much bigger now - you'll see soon.
This is Team Friendship. Welcome to our little world.
Jesus - I'm currently reading through "Forgotten God" by Francis Chan. Recently read "Crazy Love". Life Changers - both of them.
"Have you ever wondered if we're missing it?
It's crazy, if you think about it. The God of the universe—the Creator of nitrogen and pine needles, galaxies and E-minor—loves us with a radical, unconditional, self-sacrificing love. And what is our typical response?
We go to church, sing songs, and try not to cuss.
Whether you've verbalized it yet or not, we all know something's wrong.
Does something deep inside your heart long to break free from the status quo? Are you hungry for an authentic faith that addresses the problems of our world with tangible, even radical, solutions? God is calling you to a passionate love relationship with Himself."
Business - This may make me seem like a nerd, but I'm also reading "7 Habits of a Highly Effective Person" by Steven Covey. whew. Also awesome book.

This is awesome babe, keep it up!
ReplyDeleteSam, good idea on starting a blog. You gotta work on it, otherwise it will fizzle, or so I hear. I mean the man sold like over 15 million copies, but I have had the 7 Habits on my shelf for 3 years and I just started it last week. Kind of ironic and I agree it is a good book. Have fun and I hope to see you again before I die. :)
ReplyDeleteYay blog!!! THis will have to suffice since you have not called your OBA back in ages missy!
ReplyDeleteJoe - thanks! I definitely agree. I started a different blog about a year ago and totally abandoned it. I think I'm much more committed this time around :-)
ReplyDeleteAmber - Oh no :-( I am a terrible buddy. Please forgive me. I start traveling tomorrow and I think the drive time should give us a good time to chat.
aww i'm so glad your husband has pushed you to creating a blog! i can't wait to read all about your insight on the world. love you girl! :)
